Wacky Wednesday

I am trying to make a set of cards with each DSP pack as a personal challenge. Here is another card from my first set using Tea Party DSP. It uses the same color combo as yesterday's cards.

CS: So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Regal Rose, Almost Amethyst
DSP: Tea Party
Ink: Basic Brown, Certainly Celery, Regal Rose
Ribbon: Rose Red Grosgrain

Today's Technique is Split Negative, one of my favorites! It's fast and easy, so requires little prep time or mess. I've included directions for those who are unfamiliar with the technique.

Split Negative:

Use the paper trimmer to cut one piece of neutral cardstock and one piece of dark colored cardstock the same size as the wood or acrylic block for the main image. [I used 2.25 x 4.25 of Chocolate Chip and Whisper White CS]

Stamp image in White Craft Ink onto the dark colored cardstock. Repeat the process using Dark Craft Ink on the neutral cardstock. [I used Chocolate Chip Classic and Whisper White Craft]

Determine the exact midpoint of the piece of cardstock and cut both images in half. There will be four half images at this point.

Adhere two opposite images to a coordinating or complimentary piece of cardstock. Use the image panels and embellishments of your choice to create two fabulous cards.

You can also emboss the images, it is stunning! Just use clear embossing powder over your stamped images (Craft ink).
